“Keli and her team made planning a destination wedding super simple. The wedding and reception turned out exactly as we wanted it.” Kesha
You can’t help but fall in love with Kesha and Derrick’s beach wedding. Weddings like theirs constantly remind me why I became a Belize wedding planner eight years ago. Thank you, Kesha and Derrick, for being such an awesome couple and allowing the team at I Do Belize Weddings to share your special day with you.
This is another Belize wedding I’ll be viewing at over and over again. Red, red, red! I am loving the red tied into all of the details and how gorgeous and fun these images are thanks to Leonardo. I have always thought it would be cool to have a groom and groomsmen in sneakers. Thanks, Derrick, for making that happen! And check out Kesha’s heels. Wowwwww! The red keeps on flowing. Red chairs, red bridesmaid dresses, red garter, red table decor, the lamp shades in the couple’s suite, and the bride’s chic red rose bouquets. Yes, roses! We most often see tropical flowers at our beach weddings so when a bride requests a special import flower we’re always excited! Whoa, and the cake! More red and more roses! Don’t you love it? Classy. Dulce de leche on the top and bottom tiers with vanilla butter cake in the middle tier.
When I first started working with Kesha and Derek and they shared their vision I knew this wedding would be so much fun. The couple came all the way from the beaches of San Pedro, California down to the beaches of San Pedro, Belize. Since they live near the beach they wanted to do something a little bit different than most of our island weddings. One of their important requests was not to get married on the beach yet still have the ocean in the backdrop. That was a pretty easy request. Their destination wedding was held at Grand Colony Villas on Ambergris Caye with just over 30 guests. I posted lots of sneak peaks from this wedding yesterday so I hope you’re excited to see more and enjoy this wedding as much as I do. Congratulations to Kesha and Derrick!
